ATG A7 Flying Probe Tester Purchase

Circuit Technology Services is pleased to announce the purchase of a new ATG A7 flying probe test system. The machine will be installed and in production starting January 2014. We remain committed to offering the latest and greatest testing technology, and the ATG A7 furthers that commitment, adding new capabilities and increasing capacity.

The machine utilizes new design features, including state of the art linear drives, which increase test speed and accuracy. The A7 with 8 test heads is able to test even high density boards quickly. Using proprietary software, the first board learn time is also dramatically reduced. All of this greatly reduces total lot test times. The A7 includes the following features:

  • Kelvin Test
  • Embedded component test: Resistor, Capacitor and Inductor test
  • Hi-pot and High Voltage
  • Wire Bond Pads

Acceler8 Electrical Scanner Purchase

Circuit Technology Services is pleased to announce the purchase of a new Acceler8 electrical scanner. The machine will be installed and in production in September 2010. The Acceler8 will boost Circuit Technology Services’ capacity and quick turn capability. We are committed to investing in leading edge test technology.

Built on proven test technology of flying probe testers, electro-mechanical scan testing is the latest in PCB test technology. The PCB is electrically scanned which typically tests 90% or more of the PCB. This information is sent to the flying probe testers which then seamlessly complete the test process. Test times can increase up to 10 times compared to flying probe test alone, with the same test coverage and quality.

  • Up to 24” x 27” testable area
  • Leaves no witness marks
  • No ground plane needed for fastest test method
  • Good option for medium volume runs or boards without ground planes
